BioI’m from…
Born and raised in boroughs and the ‘burbs of NYC Just moved to Northern Colorado in 2020! My education… BA in Literature/Creative Writing from NYU 300-Hour Trained Conquering Lion Yoga & Meditation Certified Professional Life Coach & Mentor Women's Empowerment Coach Prenatal and Postnatal Yoga Teacher incl. Labor Support Teacher and Facilitator Trainer Certified Holistic Birth Doula Founder of Prana Yoga and Meditation and Prana Prenatal Yoga My backstory.... My yoga journey began in the late 90's while pregnant with my first child. My practice waxed and waned over the years that my three children were young. When their dad passed away in 2007, I found myself juggling a corporate career while raising them on my own. Life as a 32 year old widow was challenging and I struggled with depression because I did not have the tools I needed to be at peace. In 2012, I discovered how incredibly effective meditation, yoga and eastern philosophy studies were in shifting my perspective of the world. After I realized how much I was able to heal, I felt compelled to dedicate my life to helping others so I made the leap and left my corporate career to teach full-time. I love yoga & meditation and eastern philosophy because… It offers a complete system for mental and physical well-being. These practices makes no promises that you cannot experiment with and test for yourself. When your practice becomes consistent the changes you have made in your body and your mind are clear. You feel good. You’re happier. You achieve a flexibility in attitude as well as the physical body. My passion.... Working with women is the nucleus of my life's purpose both on and off the mat. What is most fascinating to me is how many of us fit into the archetype of nurturers and how we often we forget to care for ourselves. My greatest joy is creating sacred space for women to explore their connection with mind, body and spirit while supporting their self-care. The results are incredibly powerful and always inspiring. When I’m not teaching… I'm writing. My work's been published in major yoga publications and I love being able to combine my two passions. You'll also find me in nature hiking ,creating meals in the kitchen, avidly reading or hanging out with my family, our dogs, and our extensive network of cherished friends. |
